OMEN Challenge 7 US

In order to build buzz among the gaming audience in US for the OMEN Challenge Edition 7, a series of content pieces, both paid and organic, were posted on OMEN's proprietary social channels two weeks before and one week after the event to drive interest and viewership. It involved 8 contestants going head-to-head in a live event playing “Fortnite” to win fantastic prizes from OMEN by HP. In addition, users had the opportunity to participate in trivia to win prizes as well.

The problem
Space so cluttered, so how do we grab their attention via entertainment and built brand awareness and affinity through that?

Insight
Players want fun experiences that let them share their creativity with friends and communities, both in the game and in real life. “Fortnite” is an important way to connect with them.


 
 

Solution
A journey of relevant content for the gamer audience that generates expectations for the event
and motivates users to watch the competition and participate in the dynamics to win products.

 
 

A graphic line was proposed and content was planned to involve the contestants, including the host to motivate people to watch the event.

 
 
 

Users were encouraged to re-watch the event on the YouTube channel and join activities like naming funny moments, choosing what happens next, and answering trivia about the top achievements of participating influencers. The gaming community responded positively, following closely to win giveaways.

 
 

The art direction was in generating an action-packed edition with an immersive aesthetic in the “Fortnite” + OMEN game.
